Since 2005, Daniela has been suffering from locked-in syndrome, a rare neurological disease that arose due to a brain hemorrhage after the birth of her daughter Camilla.
She’s 55 today. She lives in a cognitively active state but cannot move any part of her body except her eyes and eyelids, which she uses to communicate with the outside world.
