This project about Carnia not only shows the natural environment, but also focuses on people: we can admire those who live and work in these area (such as shepherds), those who are seeking adventure, mountaineers who escape from the city; we can also have a chat with the guardians of mountain huts and listen to local stories and legends. Sometimes we will take a different route and look for other people, places, events, so that we can create both a natural and cultural itineraries. The whole journey will occur at high altitudes, during the four seasons: sometimes we will walk, sometimes we will ski. We will listen to the stories as they are told by the people we met on our way. The film is shot in three languages (Italian, Friulian, German): however, rather than underlining differences, the film wants to find what binds those who live in these areas; here, almost all of mountains have three names: an Italian one, a German one and a Friulian one.
