This TV documentary is a portrait of Boris Pahor, a writer from Trieste. It focuses on the main events which characterized his life and represents the fulcrum/core of his literary production. Fascism, the loss of the language, Nazi concentration camps, and the chaos in Trieste after the war are the main and constant themes, together with love, of Pahor’s production. The plot of the documentary is told through the accounts of historians, colleagues, editors and friends. We follow Pahor’s life, from Trieste to Paris, where he received his first international award and trace the long and difficult life of one of the greatest witnesses of the 20th century.
