The historical Caffè Trieste, in San Francisco, was the place where beat generation artists used to meet; but above all, it is where Francis Ford Coppola wrote the screenplay of The Godfather. Through the words of the artists, poets and common people who visit Caffè Trieste, but especially through those of its founder Gianni Giotta (who had left his hometown in the early 1950s), we are transported back to the golden years of the Western counterculture.
