Giorgio Ferigo was an intellectual born in the Italian region of Friuli. For many years he translated Georges Brassens’s songs from French to Friulian, the language of Pasolini. With some non-professional musician friends of his, Ferigo recorded an LP containing 13 of Brassens’ songs. Together they planned a pilgrimage from Este, their hometown, to Sète, Brassens’ town, but because of Ferigo’s death, it was left undone. The musicians then decided to undertake the pilgrimage by themselves, transforming the homage to Georges Brassens into an act of remembrance of their friend. The aim of this film is to give an insight into these artistic friendships and to explore how some projects, ideals and friendships can continue beyond someone’s physical death.
