Historical documentary on the Great War in six episodes. The series tells how the tiny village of Torreano di Martignacco in Friuli became the Italian political and cultural center, hosting the King of Italy Vittorio Emanuele III and his court from 1915 to 1917. Colonel Francesco degli Azzoni Avogadro, the King’s adjutant, narrates the most significant but also the most unique and least known moments of the Great War in the Isonzo Front.
