In the 1940s the young Pier Paolo Pasolini lives in Casarsa, the birthplace of his mother. He discovers the Friulian landscape, language and traditions of the rural world and experiences his first romances. This contact with local people prompted his political activism with the Italian Communist Party and led to his teaching experience. The story is told by Nico Naldini, Pasolini’s cousin, who wrote the most famous Pasolini biography. He unveils two unavoidably linked paths. Both were discovering an unknown world, whose aesthetic and erotic violence they experienced in its cruel reality. This universe would become the basis for the novels “Il sogno di una cosa”, “Atti impuri” and “Amado Mio” and would form the visual references of films such as “Teorema” and”Medea”.
