The contemporary industry of cinema lacks of ideas to let it overcome its own limits. In this particular time, a small group, with Jan Cvitkovic as a leader, makes a film called Archeo aiming to overturn the relationship between the media and its representative literary references. Jan Cvitkovic clearly said that he wanted to make a film made by images from the subconscious skipping the mediation of any structure from dramaturgy. As a result the film would be pure, free of any mental construction, with just three characters. The project has not only been a cultural operation but also a strong human and artistic experience for all the people involved. The documentary, by following the actors during the making of, tells about the experience of the project and makes the spectator think about all the possible ways of making movies nowadays. On the background of the artistic experience are the personal events of the men and women who took part in the making of the film and became the real soul of the project. Technicians and artists contribute to create the unreal atmosphere that characterizes a movie set and bring to life the idea of the making of a film as a collective work. Making Archeo films is not a documentary about the work made by an individual but a film about a new way of making movies that could influence new directors.
