The 4-film-documentary miniseries “New Alliances” follows the scientific and human adventures of 4 scientists who are making connections with nature through their research. These scientists have a vision of the future that does not forget who we are and where we come from, and transforms it in a contemporary key, reinventing our relationship with plants, animals and traditional knowledge, A relationship that for millennia has seen us as an integral part of a complex system. The protagonists of the series will be Prativa a biotechnologist in Nepal, Stefano a neurobiologist in Florence, Caroline a veterinary researcher in Uganda, and Patricia a marine biologist in Ecuador. People and corners of the planet far apart, united by the same
desire to create new alliances, showing a science that comes out of the laboratories to invent new ways of relating and living together.
