Inspired by the novels by Fulvio Ervas, ‘L’Ispettore Stucky’ is a six-part 65-minute series for Rai Due starring Giuseppe Battiston and directed by Valerio Attanasio.
The format on which Stucky is based owes much to the cult series Inspector Colombo.
Each episode opens with the crime scene, where the viewer follows the steps of the murderer. Then our inspector peeps out and invites us to enter the labyrinth of the human soul.
Entirely set in Veneto, headquarters Treviso, our series renounces the technological wizardry of the third millennium and relies on a sui generis character, apparently absent-minded, frequently underestimated, who lets himself be guided above all by his instincts, his curiosity and an unconventional way of thinking that allows him to dig deep without being noticed.
A fine observer of the human being, Stucky fights every day with the obviousness of evil often dressed in elegant clothes: the answer will always arise from the most meticulous investigation possible of the dynamics between individuals. In each episode our shy and gourmet inspector will be catapulted into a world to be decoded, and he will do so in his own way.
His travelling companions, the forensic doctor Marina (with whom Stucky has a relationship of intense and somewhat awkward intimacy), the innkeeper Secondo (advisor and mentor) and the two policemen assigned to him, Guerra and Landrulli, who have learned to love him but not yet to understand him.
