The Serbian community in Trieste is the oldest and the most numerous. Present in the city since the second half of the 1700s, it has almost 7000 members. It is the largest Serbian community concentrated in one city throughout Italy, and is the only one that can boast an Orthodox place of worship, the central church of San Spiridione. It is a vital community, very integrated and very fluid, which counts more generations, many children born here and many young people who still arrive. But it is also a community that tries hard to preserve its roots and its traditions. The film wants to enter the community, and tell the life, the ideas, the sense of belonging and identity of these Serbians of Trieste.
