A border family is prisoner of the wind in a mysterious city that is Trieste. The son Giovanni is a young boy who got blind at four years old. Cora his mother, lives just for him. The father, Angelo, is an ex-professor, he survives delivering newspapers at the newsstands, he works during the night. Immobility and isolation get broken by Dusan, a Serbian, a deserter escaped in 1999 from the Kosovo war. Dusan accuses Angelo, who was once committed in helping the refugees, of being responsible for his wife and daughter disappearance. Angelo cannot avoid to finally open his eyes.
